Praise for Space Engineering and the "Milestone" store!

Space Engineering Services has received recognition for their contribution in the development of the new Tesco Extra Store in Dudley, West Midlands.

Working alongside the main contractor Bowmer and Kirkland, the Projects Team contributed to the store development with the provision of refrigeration services, manufacture and installation of the refrigeration plant, and coldrooms installation.

The £27m store located in the Town Gate Retail Park officially opened its doors on 17th October, with praise for all the teams involved with the build.

Commenting on the store Kevin Grace, then Property Services Director for Tesco, described it as "a complete triumph", whilst Robert Kirkland, Group Director at Bowmer and Kirkland said "This has to be one of the best stores I have seen - WELL DONE - to the whole team".

The "Milestone" store is one of the first to operate using Space Engineering's collaboratively developed CO2 refrigeration plant, manufactured at the company's 33,000sqft production site in Bristol.
