Trainee CAD Operator / Applications Engineer

Hours of work

37.5 hours per week - Monday – Friday. Your hours will generally be between 9.00am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.


Projects Design Department.

Key responsibilities:

  • To produce 2D CAD layout drawings for engineering retail projects.
  • Understand and keep up to date with design standards.
  • Liaising with Project Managers to keep up to date on all projects.
  • Maintain standard working blocks of current product range.
  • Liaising with client retail planners.
  • Liaising with suppliers (equipment manufacturers).

Key skills required:

  • Well organized with good time management.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication at all levels.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and all other Microsoft office functionality
  • The ability to manage and carry out number of activities at one time.
  • The ability to prioritise.
  • Maintain a calm and clear manner under pressure.
  • Work effectively to tight deadlines.
