Design Director

Hours of work:

37.5 hours per week - Monday – Friday. Your hours will generally be between 9.00am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.


Projects Design Department.


Key responsibilities:

  • Production of Installation drawings for various retail projects as nominated by Design Engineers
  • Liaising with Design Engineers, Project managers and other Trades for collation of information
  • Maintaining and revising existing drawings & drawing assets
  • Working in industry standard BIM software to produce three-dimensional refrigeration installation models & families
  • General drawing office administration including: Uploading/Downloading drawings accordingly to relevant Web based systems and Issuing & distribution of drawings


Key skills required:

This role would suit someone looking to further their career & prospects in a busy drawing office

  • Previous Drafting or AutoCAD experience necessary
  • Previous experience of Autodesk Revit highly desirable
  • Well organized with good time management.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication at all levels.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and all other Microsoft office functionality
  • The ability to manage and carry out number of activities at one time.
  • The ability to prioritise.
  • Maintain a calm and clear manner under pressure.
  • Work effectively to tight deadlines.
