Main Purpose and Scope of the job

  • As a Stores Assistant you will be supporting Space Engineering Services with assisting support in our busy stores department.
  • Your responsibilities will include;
  • Receipting stock into MRP system
  • Issuing materials onto shop floor
  • Picking jobs correctly and on time
  • Coordinating recycling
  • General housekeeping of stores
  • Look after stock levels of gas bottles on the shop floor and in cages ensuring numbers are kept to a minimum
  • Help with 25% stock take every month
  • Keep outside storage area clean and tidy
  • Keep stores locked
  • Make sure deliveries are checked and put away under the correct code on the right shelf
  • Packing components ready for shipping

If applicable ensure fork lift job spec is adhered to as below:

  • Responsible for unloading and loading of all Packbuild materials
  • Updating fork lift log daily and advising of any issues that need to be addressed to Stores Supervisor
  • Responsible for fork lift gas and diesel quantities
  • Filling out any documentation for dispatching of finished packs and materials

Skill Set, Qualifications and Experience

  • Computer Skills
  • Manual Handling
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Basic reading, writing and accounting skills required
