The purpose of the role is to…

  • Expanding knowledge of the basic refrigeration cycle
  • Expanding knowledge of materials
  • Expanding knowledge of thermodynamics
  • Expanding knowledge of refrigeration systems using CO2
  • Developing refrigeration plant specifications
  • Developing product budget and costs
  • Developing bill of materials
  • Conducting product selections
  • Conducting quality checks and spot check reviews
  • Checking quality documentation and traceability
  • Maintaining quality system and quotations Log
  • Assisting engineering staff in all areas of design
  • Developing ideas for improving processes process and product development
  • Working with CAD, simulation software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Assist to develop energy models and prove efficiency

 

What you’ll be doing…

  • Learning and developing technical knowledge, skills and products
  • Liaising with clients to understand needs and expectations
  • Requesting information from suppliers
  • Working with best practice and recognized standards
  • Working with quality management systems
  • Working in part of small team, being flexible and learning to manage more than one project at a time

  • Being able to work self-sufficiently

We’d love to meet someone with…

  • Good mathematics and science knowledge or background
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good IT skills. Proficient with Microsoft applications (i.e. Word & Excel)
  • Able to work in a team
  • Willingness to develop technical knowledge
  • Willingness to develop computer skills
  • Studying or studied Mechanical Engineering at college level or similar
