Senior Managing Engineer

Hours of work

48 hours per week, referenced over a 17 -week period. Working a shift pattern as appropriate for the area- to be confirmed at interview.

A company vehicle will be allocated as appropriate to the role.

Department

The Service and Compliance department is responsible for providing proactive and reactive maintenance and compliance regimes to customers across Europe. The successful candidate will join the team of field based engineers to support the contract.

Main Purpose and Scope of the job

As a HVAC Gas Engineer, you will be supporting Space Engineering Services in order to ensure the area you are allocated to operates effectively.

Your responsibilities will include;

  • Collection and fitting of parts as directed by the Senior Managing Engineer / Operations Manager.
  • Diagnosing and fixing equipment breakdowns.
  • Planned PPM
  • Carrying out calls as allocated by Service Control.
  • Updating service records and timekeeping information in an accurate and timely way.
  • Updating client reporting systems in an accurate and timely way.
  • Working safely in line with health and safety procedures.
  • Be part of a standby rota as requested to ensure that the company can provide adequate emergency cover to our Retail clients at all times.

Skill Set, Qualifications and Experience

  • Suitably qualified HVAC discipline.
    Excellent communications skills.
    Solid understanding of administration procedures.
    Experience of working on a broad range of small & medium sized AHU, Fan Coils and Pumps. Fully conversant with all commercial burners/boilers, roof package direct fired units and associated in-line equipment including control wiring
  • Service and Maintenance complete with excellent Fault-Finding, Repair skills.
  • Be part of a standby rota as requested to ensure that the company can provide adequate emergency cover to all clients at all times.
  • Applicants must be a qualified Commercial Heating Engineer and hold Current COCN1, 1CAE1, CIGA1, CDGA1, CORT1 AND TPCP1A Certificates. LPG desirable.
  • Fully conversant with all commercial burners/boilers, roof package direct fired units and associated in-line equipment including control wiring.
    Must be able to ensure all boiler and burner control and alarm system parameters are set correctly
