Projects teams are on site at a new chilled food distribution centre for Sainsbury’s in Avonmouth, Bristol. Working with Basebuild, we are responsible for the full refrigeration fit-out.
When it comes to our involvement, Space is delivering a complete end to end process, with our design engineers involved at every stage. In addition, the Space Engineering manufacturing facility designed and built the refrigeration rack system, before handing over to our project teams.

2 off ECO2 MIDI 4×0 HT packs housed within a dual walk-in enclosure. The enclosure also contains a glycol water side pump station and controls for hot gas defrosting.
Each pack provides 165kW MT capacity at -6C evaporating temperature and includes a 500L integrated liquid receiver vessel. All compressors are Bitzer line-start permanent-magnet (LSPM) motor technology, making it possible to fully exploit the high motor efficiency and low heat input into the refrigerant.
The result is a higher SEPR (annual performance figures) of up to 14%.
