Two consecutive years of award-winning health and safety
Space Engineering Services has been awarded the internationally recognised RoSPA Gold Occupational Health and Safety Award for the second year running.
The Awards, which are part of the annual scheme organised by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), celebrate achievement and commitment to raising the standards of health and safety management, recognising continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work.
This fantastic achievement demonstrates our continued commitment to the highest standards of health and safety. It is just one of the many health and safety accreditations that we hold, which also includes OHSAS 18001.
Peter Wilkens, Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality, said; “We are delighted that our continued efforts in health and safety management have been recognised by this award win. We take a proactive approach; both with our employees and our clients, focusing on the prevention of accidents by effective management and by ensuring that we have the correct procedures and training in place.”
As the UK’s family safety charity, RoSPA’s mission to save lives and reduce injuries covers all ages and stages of life. In support of this mission, the RoSPA Awards, which date back 59 years, recognise commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work. Through the scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
The Gold Award will be presented to Space Engineering Services at the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2015 ceremony in June.
