Space Engineering Services joins bluu unit Group to power growth

Space Engineering Services, a leading provider of refrigeration, HVAC and M&E solutions in the UK, has been acquired by bluu unit Group.

The Bristol-based company has reached an agreement for the acquisition of a majority stake, supporting Space Engineering Services’ continued growth and strengthening its position within the UK market.

Dale Nouch, managing director of Space Engineering Services, comments:

“We are pleased and excited to announce that bluu unit GmbH has signed an agreement to acquire a majority interest in Space Engineering Services. This marks an important milestone in the progress of our business and ends Dover Corporation’s investment, which began in 2014.

“The entire process was very positive, and the alignment between the organisations was clear from the start. This move provides us with the platform for growth whilst retaining our values. The culture at Space will remain the same, with added support and opportunities for expansion under the bluu unit umbrella,” said Dale.

Space Engineering Services is the largest CO₂ pack manufacturer in the UK, manufacturing both CO₂ refrigeration packs and heat pumps in-house at its facility in Pucklechurch.

Known for its innovation, Space Engineering Services was awarded the Institute of Refrigeration’s ‘Beyond Refrigeration Award’ for its Booster Integration Solution Plus (BIS+), a fully integrated refrigeration and heat pump solution designed to operate efficiently throughout the year.

Headquartered near Stuttgart, bluu unit operates from 36 locations across Germany, Switzerland and Ireland. The acquisition also includes Space Engineering Services’ Hungarian subsidiary, Space Engineering Services KFT.
